Never let it be said that I don't venture out of the desert, I just don't do it very often. LOL Here are a few stories based on the characters from the ill fated Presidio Med.
I had a lot of fun writing this done in the first person, and I added something new - journal entries. Based on the Avril Lavigne song, this is a short story about a woman who goes to a party with a jerk but ends up with Prince Charming.
Another loosely based PM story, it follows the same idea of the journal entries and first person POV. Poor Nick doesn't get any lines in this one but hey, I had fun writing it.
A young woman loses her faith and hope in the holiday season and realizes that sometimes, they can be found in the oddest people and places.
What is this you ask? Someone once called this collection of previews for the story to come. I call it a great exercise in writing and again, fun.
This is a humble submission of short snippets that I've written over a period of time, with Ardeth or Frank in various scenes/situations. It's a mixture of angst, action and romance.
"Somewhere In Time" came out of the warrior mode snippet and aren't we glad about that? LOL
An early piece of work, this may be my only venture in to the realm of writing a vampire story.
While I like the characters and of course, the man is modeled after Oded, I feel the story itself lacks a certain kind of flair.
Maybe I made the man too wimpy and the woman too strong...maybe I didn't give enough background...or maybe I didn't lose myself in to the scenes like I normally do. Not one of my best pieces, it still deserves a home here. lol
This is another character story I suppose. I had the great idea of taking a well known Eddie Murphy movie, "Coming to America" and twisting it around featuring Ardeth in the main role...with a few other minor adjustments. lol
Almost like the movie, Ardeth is given six months to find the woman he wishes to marry, or return home and face the consequences.
Writing it was a lot of fun but when I read how I portrayed Ardeth, I realized there was something missing about him. And then came to the conclusion that he wasn't enough of a warrior...
