Hair and eyes: dark sherry colored eyes, black hair, curly and wild looking, hangs down past his shoulders but he prefers to wear it tied back with a leather tie
Clean shaven but prefers to let it go for a day or so
Face: long straight nose, full sensuous lips
Tattoos: forehead, biceps, forearms, back of hands, one centered on the middle of his chest of Horus, another started on his lower back but unfinished. He has an old knee injury on his right leg and over his knee cap there is a tattoo done for health and mobility
History: loyal friend to Jericho, Dharr is almost like his son and the two of them have been through much together. He's appearing in "Heroes" and of course, my other fanfic
Marital Status: single
Personality: Honest, very much so...old fashioned especially when courting a young maiden, has a sense of humor, honorable, the oldest of seven children, it doesn't take much to throw Dharr off center.
As sworn Medjai, a warrior for God I make these sacred oaths before Allah and before my people...
Eye and hair: eyes are actually dark amber, long lashes, hair is black, thick, wavy, length almost touches his shoulders
Face: see picture LOL favors a clean shaven face
Tattoos: forehead, cheeks, et al. Also has one on his hipbone which is a closely guarded secret. An interesting mixture of Egyptian and Arabic symbols that symbolize his heart. A few tattoos on his chest but nothing as elaborate in comparison to the older warriors.
History: featured in two fanfics, "Somewhere In Time" and "Heroes", the later chapters. Was in love with Nadirah until she stabbed him, mistaking him for a zombie.
Marital status: single
Personality: Sincere, steadfast and quiet. When he gives his heart, it is not to be trifled with. Don't mistake his need for privacy as being shy, Sharif is far from shy and is actually quite an exceptional lover. However, true to nature, he doesn't boast about it. He is still hurting over Nadirah's betrayal and it will take him some time before he allows himself to care for someone again. He tends to think things over before acting. He has a disarming smile and a sense of humor that is rarely displayed. The woman who finally wins Sharif's heart could almost be envied...
Both parents are alive, one older brother who opposed Sharif's induction into the warrior sect. Sadly they have not spoken in a few years.
Eye and hair: Dark brown eyes, black hair that sometimes he lets the length get long but usually, its cut to just above the collar on his robe. No facial hair but likes to go several days without shaving
Face: See picture above LOL
Tattoos: forehead, cheeks, biceps, forearms and back of hands. His first battle was three years ago and centered over his left pectoral is a large, tribal tattoo depicting his bravery.
History: He is the fourth child out of seven; three girls and four boys. His parents are alive and he has relatives in a few of the other tribes. Makin is also an uncle, something of which he rarely talks about but fiercely enjoys. He has nine nieces and nephews, all of which are his favorites and vice versa, since he gives them piggy-back rides.
At first Makin was reluctant to step forth but he has been featured in my fanfic and will appear in several more stories.
Marital status: Single
Personality: What can I say - the more I get to know him, the more I like him. *happy sigh* He has a sense of humor that borderlines on being wacky. He loves to laugh and joke around, usually the first one in on prank and ends up dragging in Sharif, Solman or Jameel.
He's extremely aware of his size, almost sensitive about it; he can be as gentle as a lamb but in battle, he can be as savage as Berin. The darker side of being a warrior makes Makin wary; he knows how easy it is to slip into the "blood madness". Like his friends, he is steadfast and loyal. He admires the elder warriors of the oasis and of the tribes, ie Ardeth, Kedar, Nabil, et al. He would do anything they asked, obey any order and is learning there is more to being a warrior than issuing orders as he observes his role models.
He grew up near the border of the el-Amarna and lived at the Tribe of the Second for many years, before joining the warrior sect. He transferred to the Tribe of the Third after his first year because he had heard of Commander ibn Sakhr's well known ability to train horses.
Eye and hair: dark brown and hair is collar length or shorter and black
Face: straigh nose, unusually expressive eyes, usually clean shaven
Tattoos: face, hands, forearms, biceps, a few on his chest. One is the Egyptian symbol for Ra the sun god, referring to the small golden charm his ume had given to him upon entering the warrior sect
History: Only child. Father deceased, mother still resides at the Tribe of the Third. Makin's family keeps an eye on her.
Appearing in the tale end of "Heroes" and in "Somewhere In Time."
Marital status: single
Personality: If there were any phrases to describe Solman, it would be "the mountain of a warrior who has the soul of an angel." Solman is my slow thinking giant, a young man whose intelligence isn't exactly on the same level as the other warriors. He needs time to process and understand things, often looking to Dharr for reassurance. Once his confidence as a warrior improves, he will need less and less guidance but his thinking will always remain somehow pure and innocent. In a way, he is an oxymoron a warrior sworn to protect the innocent from the greatest evil of mankinda bringer of death, and yet he is innocent himself.
Solman is honest, almost to a fault. He will always say what is on his mind and often, because of his unobstructed view of the world, sees more clearly than others may give him credit for. He is loyal, and steadfast, a natural protector and champion for the underdog. He laughs easily but when meeting new people, he tends to stand off to one side, knowing they will see that he's not like the others. He is friends with Makin and Sharif, since they all trained together but Dharr is his best friend.
As Solman has so often said, "Dharr ya saHib."
Essentially all of my original characters, their names, their history, et al are copyrighted and use of them is strictly forbidden unless approved first by me. I'm not able to churn out chapter after chapter of a fanfic, and I work long and hard on my stories, my characters et al and would hate to see their names, adventures or whatever appearing in someone else's fanfic. Please...don't copy or if you want to use an idea or borrow a character, let me know via email.
"The name Raphael in Hebrew means healer or doctor. Raphael is known as "the medicine of God" or "the shining one who heals." According to Guiley, Raphael is associated with the symbol of healing, is entrusted with the physical well-being of earth and humans, and Raphael is said to be the friendliest of angels. Raphael is the angel of joy, light, peace, prayer, and love."
Raphael Abdul-Nassir
Healer
Age: 32
Birthday: October 21st
Height: 6ft 2 inches
Weight: 200-250 lbs
Eye and hair: honey brown eyes, dark glossy black hair, no facial hair. Small tattoo near corner of left eye, ancient symbol for healer. No other tattoos.
Face: see photo
Tattoos: see above
History: The only child, Raphael has been reluctant to speak of his past but eventually, he will reveal what he chooses.
Inducted as a healer at the age of 18 because of his exceptional skills, Raphael comes from a long line of prestigious healers. He stayed at the compound and went from student to teacher. There was a rumor because of his bloodline that he could inherit special abilities, ie be able to heal with his touch. The gift never manifested itself until it suddenly appeared one day when he healed an old woman.
The Tuareg somehow found out about Raphael's sudden power through spies in the Medjai villages and they kidnapped him shortly thereafter. He was a pawn used in an insidious plot to kill Ardeth using his special abilities. They brainwashed Raphael to use his powers for evil and to stalk Ardeth until he had a chance to commit the murder. Once the Medjai had lost their chieftain, the Tuareg would then simultaneously call together their tribes and attack the villages around the oasis.
The plan failed but Raphael was still be needed and called upon to do great healings. His powers may return at some point in time but the price extracted on him may be too great. For what man can continually resist the dark whisperings of evil and not cave into the call for absolute power over life and death?
Marital status: Single
Personality: Perhaps once open, trusting and kind but the Tuareg broke his spirit through vicious beatings, abuse and brain washing. His gentle nature is quiet appealing and as his skill and confidence continues to grow, he will often become the target for those who are jealous of his abilities.
To Raphael, there is no greater purpose for him to serve than to simply be a healer, taking care of those in need and most of all, to be wanted.
Ability: He can heal with his touch, the laying of hands over an open cut or wound. He slips into a trance-like state and a glow radiates from his hands out to the person he's tending too. The person being healed will feel the heat coming from his hands and depending on how severe the wound/cut is may experience some degree of pain or discomfort. Once the healing is complete, Raphael is always left exhausted, physically drained to where he could pass out but again it depends on what had to be done.
